other things I will end up also using to take care of the property, alongside the lawnmower. Then suddenly, with said accessories in my possession, a year later, I have a burning desire to build a time machine to go back in the past and convince myself to think ahead for once in my life, and consider the tree trimmer, chainsaw, snowplow, etc. Accessories that will complement the lawnmower, if you will. Too many times, metaphorically speaking, I have built the barn to house the single riding lawnmower I had, without taking into account that I had growing interest in other yard work to be done, and potential need for other things.

In my defense, this is not a splurge all at once decision, by any means. Thanks for taking the time to get back to me For me it was all about analog FM and Mutable Instruments Plaits but it could be different on your journey. One of the things you have in Audulus is an infinite supply of “vanilla” waveforms, so choose wisely with your additional oscillators and make sure they bring something to the table. That said, looks great! There isn’t a module in there that I wouldn’t buy starting out. This is an enjoyable part of the journey, don’t rush through it. I have a Intellijel Quad VCA and a Makenoise ModDemix for that and I think they works quite well and serve different purposes. Even though it’s more like plumbing than anything else, these are vital to small systems. I think the inputs on the ES-8 are going to fill up if you use it as a mixer and that is a module that is a hub of live modulation. Notice the panel shows you all your audio interfaces and you can choose which ones you want to enable/disable.Before I start buying the first few items, I wanted to get some feedback about my proposed setup in case there is something I may not be considering. You can see an example of this with Ableton. I think you can access it with the "Control Panel." button where you choose your audio interface in Reason. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find clear instructions on using it with Reason, but basically asio4all has its own control panel.
#Zmors vs audulus windows#
In order to use multiple soundcards/audio interfaces at the same time on Windows you need to install. If my CV data is being sent through this part of the hardware interface, should Reason's audio be coming through the same place? Does my interface look set up as it should be to send CV data and audio too?
#Zmors vs audulus drivers#
I am using ASIO drivers and in audio preferences it shows up as ASIO Expert Sleepers ES-8 (Audio Card Driver). I can play a video in my browser and the sound works there, just not Reason. Reason is silent with my current connection. There is a slightly smaller ES-5 which can be used as an extension to the ES-8, maybe that one can work independently too and should be cheaper. Half of my rack is made up of video modules and getting all that functional and recording was a long journey, but now literally everything is working except for audio back in to Reason, and I already have a work around for it but I don't think it's necessary. Thanks dude I was beaming once it kicked in to gear. I read that ADAT bottle necks to 44 or 48 - but, I have to do more reading.Ĭongrats! Im jealous! It's gonna be hard to part with that $500, but I gotta cross over.
#Zmors vs audulus portable#
And, THATS why I need a portable (3-4U) Rack. I also have Mordax DATA and have learned SOOO much just watching the Blonds, Brunes, and Redheads.īut to have REASON CV in AND out (more resources to shape the sound) as a modulator gotta be something.Īnd, ES-8's 96K Audio rate is also nice to have. I love Lectic Panda stuff - it's one of our first 'eyes on' in reason. You must be beaming like George Constanza!
